Smile got a hold of my lunch

Dear teachers,

I am writing to ask the following questions.
1. "You got a hold of my lunch" and put a worm in my sandwich?
--What does "you got a hold of my lunch" mean?

2. We play all kinds of card and board games.
--What does "board games" mean?

Thanks!

Emily
