Default to catch up on

Hello,

Please could you tell me what another word (not phresal verb) for 'to catch up on' is?

Are the sentences correct?
1. I have to catch up on work.
2. I have to catch up on sleep.
3. I have to make up for lost sleep.

1- Do extra to get back on schedule.
2&3 compensate for lack
