Doubt about hte use of the verb "performing"
Is the use of the verb performing correct in the phrase below? If not, which verb would be adequate in this case?
"... the project was a success, from conception to performing"

Conception is a noun, performing is a verb, so having the two together at the end doesn't work.
If the project was a play or a concert which culminated in a "performance" than you could have "from conception to performance".
If it were some other kind of project, I would be inclined to use "from conception to completion".
