Default How to use "in" to form an adverb?

I'm confusing if I want to use "in" to form an adverb, what shold I put after "in"? Is it a noun, verb, or adjective?

    For example:
    "She asked me in concern."

This concern is a noun or a verb, or shall I change it to concerned (an adjective)?

You need to use a noun. 'Concern' is a noun.
