Red face to home or only home

hi
I would be really glad if you tell me difference between "I go home" and "I go to home" if the two possibilties are right why do we you use them in different way. thanks and waiting for your reply

Preposition to expresses a movement towards a place but oddly enough the word "home" doesn't take a preposition. Similarily, there are some other words in English like: downtown/uptown, inside/otside, upstairs/downstairs that don't take prepositions. It's something you will just have to memorize.
