I shall/I will and 'for aught I care'

1. I know that there is a a difference in the meaning of a little bit old-fashioned 'shall' and 'will'. I'm sure it's called 'Coloured Future', but I couldn't find any more informations about that. Can you help me?

2. How would you translate a phrase "For aught I know"?

We can reverse will/shall to show volition, using 'will in the first persons and 'shall' in the others. The example they used to give for this was a person drowning:

I shall drown and no one will save me. (accident)
I will drown and nop one shall save me. (suicide)

Is this what you were looking for? I haven't heard 'coloured future'.
