Tense Question
Dear Teachers,
Which should be the correct sentence:
1. I will continue following up the pending issues. OR
2. I will continue follow up the pending issues.
Or both sentences are wrong. Any better way to reword them?
Your help is greatly valued.
Regards,

IMHO, I think it should be "I will continue to follow up the pending issues."

Hi KLTAKKY!
I'd love to use the first sentence:
I will continue following up the pending issues.
Hope it helps!

"I will continue to follow up on the pending issues."
If you check, I think you will find that the phrasal verb is follow up on. (Follow up returned considerably more "hits" than follow up on (from a Google search), but most of those were, I think, either nouns or adjectives.)
You could also say:
"I will continue to keep track of the pending issues."
Or:
"I will continue to keep informed of the pending issues."
Or:
"I will continue to keep up with things."
Or:
"I will make sure to keep informed of continuing developments."
Or:
"I will stay current. I won't let anything get past me."
(You can't really follow up on something that is pending. (If it's pending it hasn't happened yet.) Something like "keep track of new developments" would make more sense to me.)
