    Default so far

    Hello,
Usually I often use so far together with Present Perfect.
I have not tested your program so far.
We have checked five possible reasons so far.
Nothing new has been announced so far.
(It's not Present Perfect but should be okay as well.)

I hope so far is good here, but I would like to know alternatives.
In order to master a language a speaker should always know alternatives
    Yet sounds suitable too.

    Thank you!

    Cheers!

    Thank you,
But aren't there many other versions available?
Something like until now, by now, etc?

    Cheers!

    #1 "Yet"
#2 Could also use "to date" (meaning until now)
    #3 Ditto #2

Notice that the "yet" works with the negative sentences.

    I haven't X yet.
    We have X so far.

I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
