Wink Single or double "L"

Hello,

I'm working for a Dutch company who produces labels for bottles etc.
My colleague and I had a discussion about the following subject.
Within our company there's a section with the name : Barcoding and Labelling.
They manufacture machine's for the automatic attachment of labels to.....anything.

How do you write: "labelling". I thought, the right way to write it, is with one "L" : labeling.
We've searched the internet and found out that it's written in both ways.
So, we just don't know it anymore and wish to have the answer from an expert !

With best regards,

Mesjoggah

Good question. Oxford dictionary uses double "L" but most other dictionaries include both versions. I think labeling with one "L" is more American than British but either way you are fine.

Thank you for your early reply !
So, we can write it both ways. That's a relief.
It looks a little bit silly when the name of a part of your company is written in a wrong way.

Thanks,

It's a British and American difference, but it won't worry many people on either side of the Atlantic which you choose.
