can you help me improve my speaking?

hi i am from france and i have been in england for 7 months now and i feel like having stayed for 3 months because my english is not as good as i thought it would be. i am wondering why can't i speak more fluently now and why can't i use the words i learn in eveyday life and in my writings..
have you got a piece of advice for me?

Lucy, what are you doing in England? How much contact do you have with English speakers. Can you give us a few more details to help.

i am au pair here in england and at the same time i go to college three times a week. i speak with my host family but not that much because they are quite busy and the girls are teenagers so they prefer watching tv.
at college i met people from other parts of the world but not english people.
what can i do for the three months left that i've got to feel the difference?
