Default Help is need here!!!

Here are questions.

1. I just want to let you know that I have seen the documentary "Sacred Straight" 17 times. Never took.
What's the meaning of "Never took"?

2. Toby and Josh were here, but you ran out of wine.
Are Toby and Josh famous persons? This is some funny expression, but I don't get it.

3.Where we tone and strengthen the hams and pecs of our craft.
What is "the hams and pecs"? I saw this expression in other context.

Thanks for your kind answers.

Apparently, he was supposed to be "scared straight", but he wasn't. It didn't change his attitude. It had no significant effect on him.

Apparently, Toby and Josh were supposed to bring wine. Other than that, I don't get it either.

The phrase "the hams and pecs" no doubt refers to the hamstring (in the thighs) and the pectoral muscles (in the chest). The writer is, no doubt, "speaking" figuratively.

I think you're on the right track- the person seems to be cricising the listener for running out of wine when these two were there. They are either important or heavy drinkers, IMO.

So Toby and Josh are well-known people who drink?
