Default exercise on modals

Dear teachers,

Here is another exercise if you wouldn't mind:

complete each space with an appropriate modal verb. Some are negative:

Dear Toshie,

Thanks for sending back the book I lent you. You 1 (read) …………… can’t have read it already! You 2 (be) ……… must be the world’s fastest reader. Hope you enjoyed it.
Well the big news is, I decided not to go to Italy to take up my job offer. Basically, moving there 3 (mean) ………………… would / could (?) have meant a lot of upheaval and frankly, I 4 (face) ………………… couldn’t face the hassle. Maybe 5 (go)……………. I should have gone and (be)…………….. been a bit more adventurous, and for sure, I’ve got mixed feelings about it, as if part of me wanted to go. Who knows, I 6 (meet) ……… could have met the man of my dreams! But I didn’t take the decision lightly. I 7 (spend)……….. had spent / must have spent several weeks thinking about nothing else. Anyway, what’s done is done.
My other news concerns my dad. You remember I was getting very worried because he’s been having dizzy spells and feeling all light-headed. Well, I 8 (worry) ……………………… shouldn't worry (??), he’s been diagnosed as feeling from low blood pressure. The doctor said that his vegetarian diet 9 (set) …………….. could have set it off. It’s a pity you weren’t here! You 10 (give)……………….. could have given him some of your aromatherapy treatments.
Hope to see you again before too long.
Bye!

Thanks for everything,
Hela

3 would
6- I'd use might have
7- must have is the one for me

PS diagnosed as feeling from low blood pressure- is this in the original? I'd say suffering from or having low blood pressure.
