    Which of these sentences is acceptable:

    1-Among Russian writers, Faulkner was most influenced by the works of Dostoyevsky.
    2-Among Russian writers, Faulkner was most influenced by Dostoyevsky.
    3-Among Russian writers, Dosteyevsky influenced Faulkner most.

    3 seems the best as the two parts link together better. I'd be tempted to use 'of' instead of 'among'.

    Sentences one and two are awkward at best, since "Among Russian writers" seems to be referring to Faulkner. In fact, I was thinking (briefly) that Faulkner was a Russian writer who had been influenced by Dostoyevsky. Then I remembered, of course, that Faulkner was American.
