    Default to refer to something?

    There is a paragraph in his annual report where he refers to comments made by the Manager.

    Yes, you refer to something.

    Is there a reason "manager" is capitalized?
    I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
