Usage of 'It's better'

Hi,

I would like to know when to use "It's better" and when not to use it. can we use it in emails which are sent to our subordinates?

For example:

It’s better if you can provide me the navigation or screen shots how the client got the emails.

Is the above sentence right or wrong. I mean is it indecent to write like that.

I wouldn't; it still sounds a bit pushy to me. I'd just say 'could/can you provide me' or 'please provide me'.
