– “______________” – “Yes, I’d like to”
A. How do you do? B. How about something to drink?
B. What about going shopping? D. What do you like doing?
I personally choose “How about something to drink?”.However, I think “B. What about going shopping?” is true, too. I am so confused. Can anyone get me out?![]()
The correct answer to "How about something to drink?" would be "Yes, I'd like that" or "Yes please".
If the answer is "Yes, I'd like to" then it needs to be in regard to a verb, not a noun. Therefore, the only possible answer is "What about going shopping?"
"Something to drink" is a noun. "Going shopping" is a verb. The answer "I'd like to" could be lengthened to "Yes, I'd like to go shopping". It wouldn't be possible to say "Yes, I'd like to something to drink".
