Hi,
Is the following sentence grammatically correct?
He often reminds me "how" we learn from expriences is more important than what we have learned from books.
Is "how" ok here? or I have to replace it with "what?"
Or both are correct, but with different meanings.

how we learn ... = the manner in which we learn things /through hardships for example, through pain, disappointmnets, etc.
what we learn = the outcome of our experiences: we gain better understanding of others, compassion, their needs, our own needs, etc.
