Has anyone got any good tips for helping learners remember language? Or any fun tests involving memory - pelmanism for example that I can use in a presentation on brain, memory and learning? All contributions/suggestions gratefully received.

What level and targets/structures are you dealing with?

Hi!
This is actually for a Level 4 course presentation - so for other teachers to help them think about user-friendly techniques to help learners remember language used in class at all levels. The game could be for any level too, just as an activity the teachers could participate in at the presentation and then maybe use in class later.

Sounds like it will be an enlightening presentation. The thing is, though, we try not to do homework assignments for you. Try searching online under the terms, educational games, vocabulary retention.

Thanks already done that and have lots of stuff - just wondered if there was
anything tried and tested that really worked in the classroom I could gain an extra insight from.

Certainly not asking anyone to do my assignment!

There are plenty of claims in this area- Suggestopedia/superlearning claims remarkable memory benefits, but how scientific they are is another question. however, many swear by it.

Yes, having recently attended a Suggestopaedia event I certainly found the soothing music (for example)very complementary to task completion and can see it might work for some people. Thanks for your suggestion...

I did train in it in the 1980s, and liked some of the things about it very much, but find some of the claims rather outlandish.
