Good morning every body, techers and students,
I have one question that kept bothering me this whole semester, in my course of Stylistics and text analysis, the instructor kept talking about anaphora and cataphora, but till this moment I don't get these terms very well. They are escaping from my mind. can anyone help the poor me?!

Anaphora point backwards:

Helen asked me to send her the form.

Here 'her' refers backwards to 'Helen'.

Cataphora point forwards:

Uncomfortable in his new role, the minister found it hard to communicate.

Here 'his' points forwards to 'the minister'.
