I confused between fourty and forty. I know we've been using forty lately, but is there a fourty exist? if it was exist when did they use it, and why it is out now? Thanks.

In Old English the word was spelled forti, fourti, and fowerti, but that was hundreds of years ago. It has been forty for a long time.
