Consider it done i have asked someone to confirm something and his reply is "Consider it done". Does it simply mean "OK"?

Teacher Re: Consider it done The phrase is one of assurance that the task will be accomplished. As such, it is normally a response to a request for something to be done; it sounds a little strange in reply to a request for a confirmation.
