    Default Figure of Speech

    Hi

I have come across many figures of speech. I would like to know what does "For my health" figure of speech means? Where should we use.

Please explain this with few examples.

    Thanks
    Regards
    Rajkumar

It seems quite literal to me.

I need to exercise more for my health.

    It benefits my health.

If you have seen it used in a way that makes you think it's a figure of speech, and not a literal use, please give the examples here.

    And: Welcome to Using English!
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

    Thanks for your reply.

I came across this when we were discussing about something. The monderator replies to some one that "For his health, he could have been more honest"

The indication is that being dishonest is not good for a person's health. Sometimes, when people are dishonest, they have medical problems.
