Question Can we use the words COME and GO with the word light?

The situation of electricity is worse in our country nowadays. So my question is:
Can we use the words COME and GO with the word light?
    Such as:
A: No use to come now. Come later because the light has gone.
B: Okay, for how long does the light go in your area? When will it come? When shall I come to you then?

I suppose you are talking about power cuts. When I lived in Rajasthan we had regular power cuts and people said things like, what time does the light come/go in your area. I think that this is perfectly acceptable.

Be aware, though, that in most places, the power goes off or out, and comes back on.

A: Come later because the lights are out now (the power is off now).
B: Okay, how long is the power usually out for in your area? When will it come back on?
