Hello,
Thank you very much for letting me ask a couple of questions. So far, I have not found any clear responses to any of them so I hope you can help me.
1. I know the difference between "good" and "well", but when should I use them? Is it true that good is used with verbs such as taste, feel, hear... and well with the others?
2. What is the difference between "to fit" and "to suit"?
Thank you very much.
1- Taste good = it is pleasant to eat
Taste well = have a good sense of taste
Most of these can be used with both, though the adjective is the normal sense. However, I'd say 'hear well' is the more natural with that verb.
2 fit = be the correct size suit = look good It might fit but not suit....![]()
