    Please help me whether cutting the forest is correct if not then what can be used and can a book TELL you something

    Yes, "cutting the forest" is fine. Yes, a book can tell you something - this is accepted, though books cannot really speak.

    We would usually say "cutting down the forest".
    Yes, we often say figuratively that a book "told" us something.
