    Would you been kind enough to share with me your opinion concerning the mentioned below interpretations of the expressions in bold in the following sentences?

    This is why I open this section with the caveat that these are only guidelines.

    Let me add one caveat.

    Now, before I alarm anyone with my concerns, let me bring several caveats to your attention.

    caveat = explanation, clarification (to avoid misinterpretation or understanding of something) or
    admonition, caution, warning
