Not quite; but you could say:
"The articles below have been specially chosen, and are abridged versions of those that are available on our website."
(Perhaps other members will have other suggestions.)

The 'the' in 'the specially chosen articles' suggests that the 'articles' have been mentioned in the preceding text. So if that's the case, that's fine.
If this is the first mention of the articles, you could say 'Below are some specially chosen articles, etc.'
