What does this sentence mean?
The realization he had reached his breaking point came the day he found himself actually considering the tempting offer.
What does breaking point mean?
Does 'considering' mean accepting?
The way I understand it is that he became mentally sick the same day he accepted the tempting offer
Re: What does this sentence mean?
In this instance, "reaching his breaking point" simply means he has finally come to the brink of doing something which until then he has struggled against, but managed to resist. It's not as drastic as having become mentally ill.
