    Default Is this correct?

'Less people are left-handed than people who are right-handed.'

Is this sentence grammatically sound or not and why?

Well, it's a bit confused, don't you think? It's not ungrammatical but it is unclear.

**Neither a teacher nor a native speaker.**

    Why not:
Less people are left-handed than right-handed.

    Cheers!

    Not a teacher.

"Fewer" should be used with countable items. "Less" with uncountable. I'd say "Fewer people are ..."
