Default Present simple for the future

What connection, if any, do you all see between the use of the present simple in the sentences below?

The Company is 50 years old next Monday.
Get some sleep, we have a busy day tomorrow.

Both events are seen by the speaker as inevitable future events, the first by logic (or mathematics) and the second by the evidence of their set schedule.

Thanks for clarifying, M.
