Default a question about first name and surname?

Is there any big difference between first name and surname? For example, Reagan is often used as a surname as Ronald Reagan. Can it be used as a first name? Will some parents name their child Reagan something?

"Reagan" is used as a first name. I found the following on a site that lists 'Girl's Names':

Regan little king, counselor・ Reagan, Raegan, Ragan, Reagann, Regann, Reganne. Powerful, commanding, Regan is one heck of a name for a little girl. Not only do you have the imposing sound of the name itself, you also have the associations that come along with President Reagan as well as one of the evil sisters from King Lear and the slime-spewing kid in The Exorcist.

Will it be strange if it is used as a boy's first name?

It's used for boys, too. It's a Celtic name, meaning "royal". There are many variations on the spelling, though. That is, Reagan might be for boys, and Regan for girls. You'll have to check that though. Do a search under "Reagan baby names".

All the best,

Thanks a lot. I've found from google that Reagan can be used as a first name for both males and females.
