To "turn the tables" on the other team is a popular expression.

But as the newly winning team has to draw level first, it's common to say they equalized first. It's also common in sports reports to say 'the lead changed': 'In an exciting game at the Emirates last night, the lead changed several times.'

In America, we call it a "come back." As in, "they were down, but they came back to win."
