danger of collapsing
Danger of collapsing is everywhere.
Is this sentence correct?
Although the prepositional phrase, of collapsing, limits or modifies the abstract noun - danger, it is still not defining.
Is "the" needed in this sentence?
Thank you,

Re: danger of collapsing
We usually say "to be in danger" - so guess it's a stable form and it overcomes every modifier.
