I extracted the above from the essay section of this forum to query the grammar usage. Has 'fill' been used correctly here?

I think it should be:
“The frequency with which these environmental disasters fill Turkish news broadcasts…”

The frequency of these enviromental disasters fill the news in Turkish broadcasting.

Stories can be said to fill the news.

hmmm! Ok, while I think that restructuring the sentence has helped, my focus here is more on the subject/verb agreement; my suggestion is that if "the frequency" is the subject, then it ought to used with the verb "fills" vis-a-vis "fill"
