Question luck

dear teachers,
could you please tell me if the sentence below is correcrt or not,
"How unlucky of you!"
when I mean to say, "I'm sorry that you are unlucky" ?

I'm sorry that you are unlucky - sounds awkward.
"How unlucky of you!" - sounds OK
or
Sorry you had no luck.

Could you tell me if it is "How unlucky of you!" or "How unlucky for you!" used in the same context.
