Re: meaning of some sentences
1)Holy cow pie.
=> Certain cows are considered holy in India. Using a holy person's name (i.e., God, Jesus) or a holy thing's name (i.e., French, chalice, tabernackle) is a commonly used as a way of swearing. "Holy cow" is common, and "Holy cow pie" is not so common. The 'pie' part is added to weaken the connotation.
2)Holy smoke
=> Same as above. Some priests use smoke in their rituals.
3)gotta blast
=> A blast, like a bomb blast, happens suddenly and quickly. It's fast. To use 'blast' with 'gotta' (got to; have go to) means, I've got to go, make a sudden, quick exist.
4)I do so relish these times of peril.
=> I like it when things aren't safe. That's its literal meaning, or what the words mean, but it also has a figurative meaning, or what the phrases mean, which is, I don't like it when I'm placed into dangerous situations like this, but what can I do about it? That's life.
5) nuts and chews.
=> I don't know, sorry. Is it in reference to a kind of snack?
6) I`ll just turn up the juice.
=> "juice" refers to the energy source, e.g., turn up the juice could mean, turn up the volume on the stereo or give the car more gas so it goes faster (i.e., give something more energy.)

Well, to me it really strengthens its connotation. Cassy, imagine one huge cow "pancake" left on the ground after the cow's done her "business"
5) nuts and chews.
=> I don't know, sorry. Is it in reference to a kind of snack?
These are really yummy chocolates with salted nuts and gooey caramel.
