Exclamation Comparison / Have

Hello,
1. Please, is it possible to use "less" and "the least" when I have short adjectives???
Example: "the least tall" / "the least ugly"
"less ugly than" / "less thin than"

2. If I want to express a situation happening at the moment, is my sentence with "have" right???
Ex: I am having English classes now.

Thanks you so much.

1. fine even with long adjectives.

2. This doesn't sound right to my ear, and I can't really tell you why. I'd say, "I am having lunch now," or, "I am having a good time now," but I'd say, "I am in class now."

.
'Having class', i.e. with the singular, would sound better.
