ramp up
Dear teachers,
Would you tell me whether I am right with my interpretation of the expression in bold in the following sentence?
Pakistan and China have in recent years ramped up their traditional close ties.
ramp up = to increase a company's operations in anticipation of increased demand; bolster or strengthen
Thank you for your efforts.
Regards,
V
