little and grand
In a book of Perrault's fairy Tales, I saw the idiom "litlle daughter" instead of "granddaughter", is it correct?
Re: little and grand
No - the translator was presumably misled by the French petite-fille.
The French pair grand'mère/petite-fille makes much more sense than our 'grandmother/granddaughter', but I don't make this stuff up.
