| Thanks Nomi... But.. 1. How do they get spread? 2. Should we learn them? 3. How can we apply a very specific dialogue to general situations? I had one catch pharses dictionary and I was amazed with the sources of these pharses!! Sometimes it came from a yelling in the middle of a football match!! Really enteresting! |

| Why do things spread? What is the medium? Most languages are spoken languages. It's quite interesting that, among those spoken ones, some don't even have its written form. I think the reason catch phrases become popular is because of "us". People carry the virus walking around you. And, if we are vulnerable, we're prone to contract a phrase when exposing ourselves in a catch-phrase-rich environment. What do you think, beautiful little Latoof? |
