    I don't drive much faster than you.

    Does the sentence mean

    1. I do not drive faster than you.

    Or

    2. I drive faster than you, but not much, just a little bit faster than you.

    I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
