    Default forwards=send?

"The first note thanking me for diner was fine, but she worked her way up to five or more e-meils a day-forwards, details about her night with friends, the work."
Does "forwards" in this context mean send?

"Forwards" looks completely redundant to me, meaningless in fact.

It's an extract from a magazine. We had a bet and I said that it would possibly mean "send" as in " I'll forward you details later".

It doesn't make much sense. It might be e-mails a day- forwards details about her night with friends, the work
However, I can't see why she is forwarding these details- writing/sending would work better for me.

"...the work" sounds awkward too. Sounds like it should be "the works," which means "all related items..."

You could say "I had a birthday party with balloons, clowns, music, cake, the works."

I assume it means "emails that she had received from others and sent on to me by clicking on the forward button"

I think fivejedjon is on the right track. . The narrator is complaining about the constant emails from this person and describing the content. Among the emails were forwards: forwarded messages she'd received from others, such as jokes or cartoons or heart-warming stories.
