Teacher Re: Yes, we have no bananas today. I couldn't speak for the US, but it's highly likely. Also, the line 'yes, we have no bananas' is very well-known.

Teacher Re: Yes, we have no bananas today. I'ts been many years since the song was very popular in the US. Occassionaly it's played on the radio. Originally it was like a "hit song" when it was new.
