subject and object

Do you think that these nouns (subjects) are in agreement with the objects/nouns in the predicative sentences?

1.Students will write an email to reply to their alien pen pals by organizing their ideas around the topic given.

2. Students in groups will write an email to reply to their alien pen pals by organizing their ideas around the topic given.
