Would you tell me whether I am right with my interpretation of the expression in bold in the following sentence?
Jeremiah Ecks is a washed-up former FBI agent who spends his time mourning the loss of his deceased wife.
washed up = no longer successful or needed; no longer effective, capable or valuable; finished; done; at the end of the line/ road; over the hill; rejected; unwanted
Thanks for your efforts.
