Default Grammer correction

Could someone correct my message below or restucture it in the more proper manner.

Maintenance will carry out some air piping works on 4/4/2004 ( in QA lab. Therefore, the air compressor will be shutting down on the said day. Please don't plan any overtime on that day.

Welcome.

What about?

Maintenance will be carrying out air-piping on 4/4/2004 in the QA lab. The air compressor will be shut down so please don't plan any overtime on that day.

Note, air conditioner or air compressor?
