How many books have you read this week?
How many cars have you owned/bought?
The second is tricky to come up with an exact question- a straight 'how many' doesn't require his name. You could say something like 'including Mr Bush, how many presidents have there been?'
THANKS TDOL,
But that is not exactly what I wanted. so I set another example to clarify my question.
John has three cars .a BUICK , a BMW , and a CHEVROLETE .His friend Andy wants to find out the order by which he has bought the cars, specifically the BMW .
I want the question for which the answer is "the BMW is the second car I bought"
And the question I`m looking for is not the following questions.
1)Which car is the second car that you bought?
2)Is the BMW the second car you bought?
Thanks in advance,![]()
And by the way here is something that I heard last night IF it is right I think it can be the question to the answers.
Can we use how manieth in here?
A:How manieth car is the BMW?
B:The BMW is the second car I bought.
Thanks in advance![]()

And for the second answer the question would be:
How manieth president is M.R Bush?
Is that right?![]()
