Additional Notes: It's = It ishas
Its = possessive

Is there an error in this answer?

Its (no apostrophe) means belongs to it.

The dog hurt its paw.

It's means it is or it has.

It's raining. (It is raining)
It's been nice to see you. (It has been nice to see you.)

A sentence must have a verb. *Its mine* does not have a verb.
