during/for
Hello,
Could anyone please tell me if the second sentence sounds fine:
I'll be on holiday for two weeks.
I'll be on holiday during two weeks.
These prepositions have the same translation in my language, so it's somewhat confusing.
Thank you in advance.

Re: during/for
the second sentence is not correct.
use during with adverbs such as the war/ the day/ the 1990īs...
use for when saying how many hours/days/years etc..

Re: during/for
As a general principle, can we use the normal conventions for writing? It is a language forum.
