How do I tell which is which in a sentence. The easiest way to recognise a Regular / Irregular verb

I suggest that you study the irregular verbs. It is possible to memorize all of them. (There are about 250.) One important and useful thing to keep in mind is that variants of the same verb (e.g., come, become, overcome) are conjugated the same way.

  • I baked a cake.
    I made a cake.

    A: Who made it?
    B: I made it.

    A: Who makes it?
    B: She makes it.

    A: Who is making it?
    B: He is making it.

    A: Who wants to make it.
    B: I want to make it.

    A: Let's make a pizza.
    B: I'll help you make it.

    A: We made a pizza.
    B: Let's eat the pizza we made.
